I will assess my personal motives and place self-awareness at the forefront of my actions (Wheeler, 2012).

I promise to listen.

I will seek the truest understanding of the fourth type of Situational Leadership: Delegating. Within this dimension, I want to evoke a sense of trust and autonomy within my team. I will help problem-solve and provide guidance but will step back and allow creativity (Blanchard & Hersey, 1996).

I will take accountability for the consequences of my actions.

I will be more than honest. I will not compromise or misrepresent what I can't deliver (Northouse, 2013).

I will seek to embrace my mistakes, learn from them, and ask for team member advice.

I will step out of my comfort zone and ask questions.

I will seek personal development by attending conferences, workshops, and speeches that provide innovative tactics and techniques to better my leadership skills.

LEADERSHIP ACTIONS

I will work to develop, implement, and evaluate professional educator training programs.

I will not force ideas onto others but instead facilitate team member interaction.

I will be transparent and upfront about obstacles and barriers that may interfere with our progression.

I will mobilize team players to face tough issues and insure that they will not persevere alone.

I will use all organizational funds for associated projects and educational advancement.

I promise to listen, nurture, and stand up for individual team member needs and wants.

I will be dedicated to and seek resources for underrepresented students, faculty, and staff.

I will make decisions that benefit the individuals that we serve.

I promise to challenge each team member and provide opportunities of growth.

I will strive to remove inequalities and unfairness by spending time with underrepresented individuals and gaining a better understanding of the barriers that they face.

I will facilitate team building and relationship strengthening through activities, meetings, and events.
